It is an honor to live in a country where freedom is protected by some of the most valiant and dedicated members of the U.S. armed services. On Sunday, Southside Baptist Church recognized the bravery of these committed service members of the past and present. We are thankful for the sacrifices of Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen, and Coast Guards, who are all committed to ensuring the liberty of our nation and assisting nations around the globe. Not to be forgotten are the strong, supportive families that give up so much as their loved ones deploy abroad to accomplish their mission. Southside Baptist took some moments to recognize each veteran from their respective branch of service. Each veteran was presented with a gift to show our appreciation for their selfless service to our country. We must never take for granted the gift of freedom that we have in this country, nor should we fail to recognize the persons who stand to secure those freedoms. May God continue to bless our nation with young men and women who are willing to support this great country.
